Hmm.. I've not been very productive all these time.. Aiks.. It's the end of August now and I didn't upload anything new since Jun. >.<

Guitar

^_^ I bought a new guitar. That's to fulfill my dreams which I've carried with me all these years. I really wish to learn guitar since I was in secondary school. And, during the last semester break, when I went to West Malaysia to join the Baha'i activities, I bought my guitar.. ^_^ My precious first guitar!!! It's a Yamaha C40. A classical guitar... ^_^ I love it very very much... ^_^ Now I can finally learn to play songs with my own guitar!!! ^_^

New Laptop

Finally, my own personal laptop!!! ^_^ Dad gave me money and asked me to buy my own laptop coz the Acer laptop which I used, was dying (I think he's dead now.. T_T) That Acer laptop belonged to my dad. It's not mine. Hmm, I feel really bad coz the laptop died in my hands.. >.<

Anyway, now I have my own laptop!! ^_^ You can see the pictures in the previous entry.. Hehe....

My 19th Birthday - Celebrations and Presents (Let me just combine number 3 & 4 together)

Fuh... My birthday... I'm 19 this year... Another year older now... But, I'm really happy coz 19 is a very special number in the Baha'i Faith. ^_^ I hope it will be a memorable year to me... ^_^

Ok, first thing first... The first birthday present which I received, was from myself. ^_^ I pampered myself by going to saloon to have my hair permed. It didn't came out as I wished it would be at first but I got used to it very soon and I accepted it. It was ok.. (Coz others kept telling me that I looked great compared to last time... XD )

On the morning of my birthday, I went to class just like normal.. Then, out of a sudden, Grace and Madam Angie came in to class with two birthday cakes.. Wow, THAT was a surprise!! Haha.. I really did not expect that, especially when it was Madam Tan's class. We were about to start class then they came in with the cake... Haha... I really did not expect that... Hahaha.... The 2 cakes were the same and they are my favourite - Cheese Cake!!! Haha.. Same like my 18th birthday cake... Hehe...

Then, at night, I went for dinner with Uncle Lawrence, Aunt Boon Eng, Jasmine and Shaara. We had prawns that night.. Hehe.. I LOVE it!!! ^_^ After that, around 11pm, my friends surprised me when I go in to my room. I was really shocked. I did not expect that!!! Oh my gosh!!! Luckily I didn't get a heart attack... Hahaha... They were so sweet!!! They bought me a big bear... (and I mean REALY BIG!!!) Haha... Apart fron that big bear, I received a few cards, namely: 1 from my friends who bought the bear for me - Joanne, Diana, Grace, Shirley, Tan Yiing, Vivian, Bonnie, Sailu, Tharini, Nicholas, Neil, Jordan and Wallace.... (I'm sorry if I miss out anyone... ), 1 from Ja (a very sweet girl from Kelantan), 1 from Uncle Lawrence, Aunt Boon Eng, Jasmine and Shaara, the last 1 from Wallace. I also received an Oxford Dictionary of Quotation from Madam Angie. Thank you everyone!!! Everything was lovely!!!! ^_^ Thanks for giving me a memorable 19th Birthday!!! ^_^

Yayasan Sarawak World Style English Debate Competition 2008

15th August 2008. That was a date worth remembering. That was the day when I gave my confirmation that I can finally join the debate competition. When I told Madam Angie after the debate practice, straight away, she put me in the actual group. Actually, I felt really bad at that time because Aini just volunteered to be in the actual group. After I told madam that I was able to go, she pulled Aini out and put me in. I really felt very bad for that... T_T

Anyway, I got in group so here goes.... 16-24th August should be my long awaited 1 week holiday... But it happened that the debate competition was on 19th to 21st. So we lost our holiday until Thursday night. Or so I thought.... -_-"

The debate competition was held in UiTM, Kota Samarahan Campus. We have to wake up at 6am everyday and prepare, gather in front of TAZA before 7am every morning for the 3 days. ... TObe continued.... got to go for merdeka celebration.... =P

Without knowing how we actually did it, we manage to squeeze ourselves into the Top 8 positions. ^_^ We were ranked no. 5 in the Top 8.

19th April 2008 was our college's Sports Day. Everyone was asked to gather in front of TAZA as early as 6.30am in the morning. The college's bus and a few other rented bus are going to send us to the Stadium Jubilee at 7am and we have to be fast to avoid the traffic jams.

I took part in the 1500m, high jump and also the 400m hurdle. The event started in the morning and 1500m was the first event. So all the paticipants were asked to leave first to the stadium in case we might be late.

There was a bit of complications as some of the participants did not follow the first trip of the buses to the stadium. So we had to wait for them to arrive before we can start the event. That gave us time to prepare ourselves and do our warming up.

Upon the arrivals of the participants and the students, the first event for the day started. Men's 1500m was the first event followed by women's 1500m. When the gun was shot to indicate the starting of the run, I jogged as I normally do and followed closely to my original plan of tackling the 1500m event. I managed to be at the first place after the first round and maintained my speed so that I do not waste too much of energy. Of course, there was a time when I was over taken by another participant but it did not take me a long time to over take her again. During the last lap of the 1500m event, I maintained my speed and "buka langkah" during the last 200 meters and puff, I sped towards the final. I won.

It was not an easy victory for me as I never had the chance to tryout the track before hand. However, I was really happy to have won the race as 1500m was always my favourite event and also the only event which I could win.

The high jump event was also fun as I get the chance to do it again after graduating form secondary school. It really does feel great. I won the event also with the 1.18m of height. It wasn't really a record. Actually, that was a very lousy record for a high jumper. Haha.. (I gues it's because our bones are too heavy now.. Haha...)

The 400m hurdle which was held in the afternoon was a laughter to everyone. It really was a big disaster. I nearly wanted to give up half way. Haha.. Instead of running and hop over the hurdle, I stopped and just stepped over the hurdle and continue to run again at the last 2 or 3 hurdle. It made everyone laugh! I myself also laughed at it. It really was awful. Nonetheless, it was still alright with me as that was the first time I took part in the 400m hurdle. Hahaha!!!

At the end of the Sports Day, my team, the Green Team "Pantang Mengalah" got second place overall, losing only one mark to the winning team, Red Team "Red the Hot, Red the Great". However, the Green Team got the award for the most points accumulated for the women's event and also the Sport's Man and the Sport's Women titles. Guess what? Both titles  for the Sports Men and Sports Woman were won by the winners of the 1500m Men and Women's event. And that was my teammateand me!!! Hahaha...

It really was a tiring day but a fruitful one as I came back not empty handed. I was really happy to be able to succeed in the sports events as it will help me to be an all rounders. "Strive for excellence in every aspect", that was what I intend to. Now, the next one which I really have to pay my full atttention to are the English Language Camp, my studies and also debate (which I hope I can join).  ^_^

My dad remarried last sunday. My brother, my sister and I flew back to KK to attend his wedding. I went back on Saturday. Upon arrival, I went to Karamunsing Plaza along with my dad and my brother to fix my phone line (for my Digi sim card). After at last finishing what was to be done, we went to Le Meridien, the hotel where I spent my night with my family and also my dad's wedding's venue.

Le Meridien was great! the room my sister and I occupied cost more than RM 700++ per night!! Wow!!! It's so expensive!! Haha!! But the room was fantastic! There was a living room, a bed room and two toilets. One of the toilets has a bath tub and also a shower. There were a flat screen TV and a DVD player each in the living room and also the bedroom. There also provide us with a safe, a mini fridge and also internet broadband connection! Woah!! Haha!! Addition to that, Le Meridien compliments its clients with tea break on the 12th floor dining restaurant with spectacular view of the sunset and the sea!! It was great! The whole ex[erience was unforgetable. The next day, few hours before I go to airport, I went swimming and pampered myself by relaxing in the jacuzzi and sauna. The whole process was so good and relaxing!

However, the best thing of all was to be able to meet all of my family members again. ^_^
